Sharethrough Headline Analyzer
Although meant for advertising headlines, I figure the Sharethrough Headline Analyzer can be helpful for analyzing pretty much any headline out there.
It basically tries to give you an idea how engaging your headline is. Enter a headline, and it analyzes and scores it under a few factors, “engagement” and “impression,” ultimately calculating an overall “Headline Quality Score” for it.
It doesn’t just give you scores, however; the tool also tells you why your headline scored the way it did, and gives a bunch of tips and suggestions on how you could improve it. Pretty solid advice, too.
It’s this highly informative latter stuff that I think you’ll find truly invaluable. Can’t hurt to bookmark and revisit this free tool each time you write a headline.
