Pornhub’s 2016 Year in Review (NSFW)

The largest pornography site on the Net, Pornhub, just released its 2016 traffic data and analysis. It does provide some interesting insight into its activities and the audience it attracts, like:

  • It used 3,110 Petabytes of bandwidth to deliver its content last year. That’s equivalent to 6 TB a minute or 99 GB per second. Still can’t visualize the magnitude? That’s also the same as 194 million full 16 GB USB sticks, which if laid end to end totals 11,000 km, enough to go all the way around the moon.
  • Pornhub had 23 billion visits total in 2016. That’s 44,000 visits per minute.
  • Almost 4.6 billion hours of porn was viewed. How much is that? That’s 5,246 centuries of porn content.

Lots more interesting data. If your target market is at all related, or even if you’re just curious, go take a look. It’ll be on the business/press part of their site, so it’s mild and not at all risque, in my opinion, but I’ve still tagged it NSFW for some of you delicate flowers (so you can’t come whining to me later).
